John Parnell is the author of more than 200 basic and applied research articles, presentations, and cases in strategic management and related areas. He is the author of two current textbooks, Strategic Management: Theory and Practice, and Crisis Management: Leading in the New Strategy Landscape. Dr. Parnell earned his MBA and MA degrees from East Carolina University, an EdD from Campbell University, and a PhD in Strategic Management from the University of Memphis. He has lectured in a number of countries, including China, Mexico, Peru and Egypt. His current research focuses on issues related to competitive business strategies, crisis management and ethics.
